Assessments

Before we recommend any technology, we understand the business problem. TechRam’s pre-sales assessments are structured diagnostics that give you a clear picture of where your systems are failing your organisation, what it’s costing you, and where the highest-value opportunities are.

Every assessment produces a concrete output you can act on, regardless of what you decide to do next.

Assessment

The most comprehensive operational systems diagnostic available for care organisations.

The Assessment examines how your operational systems are working together across three domains, and produces a prioritised map of the integration gaps costing you most. It is the starting point for every TechRam engagement.

What it involves

  • Workshop with your operational and IT leads across three domains: Audit-Ready Compliance, Operational Workflows, and Data Stack.

  • Review of your current system landscape — which platforms you use and how data currently moves between them.

  • Gap analysis benchmarked against comparable care organisations we have assessed.

  • Prioritisation of findings by cost impact and implementation effort

What you get

  • Prioritised heat map of integration gaps across all three domains.

  • Benchmark comparison against comparable organisations.

  • Recommendations ranked by cost impact and effort, so you know where to start.

  • Foundation for the Workflow Discovery and Business Case — or a standalone planning reference if you choose not to proceed.

How we run it

Workshops run in person or via Microsoft Teams. Findings are documented in SharePoint throughout. Final output is a boardroom-ready presentation alongside a Power BI dashboard showing gap analysis across all three domains.

Timeframe:

2–4 weeks for mid-to-large organisations.

Workflow Discovery

A detailed map of the specific process where your integration gap is costing most

Once the Assessment identifies the highest-cost integration gap, the Workflow Discovery maps that specific process in granular detail. We document what actually happens at every step — not what the procedure manual says should happen.

What it involves

  • Collaborative process mapping with the people who run the workflow day to day.

  • Documentation of every handoff, every manual step, and every point data crosses system boundaries.

  • Root cause analysis of where and why the workflow breaks down.

  • Specific, actionable recommendations for how the workflow should function across the integration.

What you get

  • Current state process map with integration gaps clearly marked.

  • Root cause analysis of where and why the workflow breaks down.

  • Aprioritised list of what needs to change for the integration build

  • A clear brief that can go directly to a developer or be used internally to scope the project

TIMEFRAME

1–2 weeks depending on process complexity.

Business Case

The document that gets the project approved.

The Business Case quantifies what the integration gap is actually costing your organisation — in staff time, revenue at risk, and compliance exposure — and models the return on investment of closing it. It is designed to be presented toa CEO, board, or executive team by the person who identified the problem.

What it involves

  • Cost modelling of the current broken state, based on data gathered in the Workflow Discovery.

  • Quantification of staff time lost, revenue at risk, and compliance exposure.

  • ROI model for the proposed integration build with realistic timelines and delivery costs.

  • Recommended phasing so the board can approve a staged investment.

What you get

  • Documented cost of the current state — time, money, and compliance risk.

  • ROI model for the proposed fix.

  • Recommended phasing and delivery approach.

  • A document ready to present internally

Tech Stack Review

A focused review of your Microsoft 365 and Azure spend — where the waste is and what to do about it.

The Tech Stack Review is a focused review of your current Microsoft 365 and Azure environment. We look at what you’re paying for, what you’re actually using, and where the gaps between your systems are costing you money. Often the fastest way to recover hard savings before a deeper Assessment.

What it involves

  • Microsoft 365 licensing — unused licences, over-provisioned plans, entitlements you’re paying for separately that are already included.

  • Azure spend — idle resources, oversized services, licensing overlap with M365.

  • Redundant tools — software you’re paying for that duplicates functionality already in your Microsoft stack.

  • Storage and data — bloated storage, orphaned data, configuration drift.

  • Integration gaps — where your systems don’t talk to each other and what that’s costing in manual effort.

What you get

  • A clear picture of recoverable cost — hard savings you canact on immediately.

  • A prioritised list of integration gaps ranked by operational impact

  • A recommendation for next steps — whether that’s a quick fix, a deeper assessment, or nothing at all

How we run it

We need read-only access to your Microsoft 365 admin centreand Azure portal. The review takes a few hours of our time and requires minimalinvolvement from your team. We deliver findings within one week.

A Discovery Call is the easiest starting point. We’ll ask a few questions about your organisation and recommend the most useful starting point.
