It reads two date columns from a list you choose and draws them. It writes nothing back, and dragging a bar is not a feature, because the list stays the one place the dates are edited.

A start date and an end date, under any names — you map them when you add the web part. A title for the bar label, and one choice or person column if you want the rows grouped.
03. What happens when someone edits a date in the list?
